When it comes to food, New Jersey is really good at a lot of things.
Our produce is incredible. Bagels? Wonderful. Our boardwalk’s saltwater taffy is beloved, and people who move out of state forever crave pork roll/Taylor ham.
And our pizza? Fuhgeddaboudit.
Food & Wine magazine thinks so, too, and last year named New Jersey the best pizza state in the country.
On the heels of that accolade, the team at the state Division of Travel and Tourism’s travel guide, Visit New Jersey, created a pizza trail spotlighting 10 restaurants from Rutherford to Ocean City.
“With over 10 different stops throughout some of Jersey’s most famous cities, a pizza lover’s dream will come true this fall in the Garden State,” reads a news release.

From north to south, here are the stops on the New Jersey Pizza Trail:
- Ferazzoli’s Italian Kitchen, 269 Ridge Road, North Arlington; and 317 Union Ave., Rutherford
- Calabria Restaurant & Pizzeria: 588 S. Livingston Ave., Livingston
- Benny Tudino’s: 622 Washington St., Hoboken
- Porta: 135 Newark Ave., Jersey City; 499 Bloomfield Ave., Montclair; and 911 Kingsley St., Asbury Park
- The Original Thin Crust Pizza Company: 111 Main St., East Brunswick
- Brooklyn Square Pizza: 73 Wilson Ave., Manalapan; 265 South New Prospect Road, Jackson; and 1898 Hinds Road, Toms River
- Federici’s Family Restaurant: 14 E. Main St., Freehold Borough
- Talula’s: 550 Cookman Ave., No. 108, Asbury Park
- De Lorenzo’s Tomato Pies: 2350 Route 33, Robbinsville
- Manco & Manco Pizza: On the boardwalk at 8th, 9th and 12th streets, Ocean City
