A World of Imagination Pop Up Art Gallery featuring Robin Longo at the Renaissance Salon

Robin Longo is a New Jersey-based abstract artist who works in a variety of mixed media on canvas. Shapes, colors and their relationship to each other inspire her work to form intricately layered expressions. Robin’s pieces are textured with painted paper and three-dimensional collage elements, which create unique canvases that instill a sense of calmness. Her specialty is working with designers and clients who commission Robin for custom paintings. Her artwork was featured at Gallery L in Montclair, New Jersey as part of the “World Needs Us Artists” Group Show. Robin Longo’s artwork is sought after by realtors and home stagers and her installations have been featured in luxury homes to enhance the properties.
Robin Longo has been an artist her whole life but aspired to be an abstract artist about seven years ago. She attended the Visual Arts Center of NJ in Summit and spent three years there studying various types of art, mostly abstract, where she discovered her true passion. Robin found that she could spark her imagination and create new concepts from the dress collection to collage in a unique way. She wipes the dish with the paper in the paint and was able to find the beauty in the paper. This was something very new and exciting for Robin.
David Bowie sums up Robin Longo’s artistic philosophy perfectly. “Always go a little further into the water than you feel you’re capable of being in. Go a little bit out of your depth. And when you don’t feel that your feet are quite touching the bottom, you’re just about in the right place to do something exciting.”
Robin will keep pushing the boundaries and using her imagination to further her growth as an artist.
