Some artists virtually create their own genre. That is the case with acclaimed contemporary jazz pianist, composer and humanitarian Keiko Matsui, whose haunting melodies and transcendent spirit draws fans from jazz, new age and world music. A master storyteller, she crafts exquisite compositions replete with lush harmonies and global rhythms to create timeless musical anthems. Over a three-decade career she has scored numerous Top 10 Billboard Contemporary Jazz hits, including hitting #1, and scored numerous contemporary jazz radio hits. But it is her relentless world-wide touring and the special relationship with her audience that truly sets her apart. Keiko’s concerts are more than performances; they are spiritual séances. An important part of appeal is her support of many causes and charitable work; she dedicates every song she writes to causes that move her. All in all there is no other artist quite like Keiko Matsui.
