The NJ Devils met the Anaheim Ducks in the 2003 NHL Stanley Cup Finals, taking down their Western Conference opponent in a hard-fought seven-game series for the franchise’s third championship in less than 10 years. Hall of Fame goaltender Martin Brodeur led the Devils to his third league championship, shutting out the Ducks in three of the team’s four wins. The series marked the third time in NHL history that the home team was victorious in every game, and the second time that the title was clinched in New Jersey.
