The North Mississippi Allstars is a highly acclaimed American blues rock band hailing from the Mississippi Delta region. The band was formed in 1996 by brothers Luther and Cody Dickinson. The North Mississippi Allstars have released several critically acclaimed albums, including “Shake Hands with Shorty”, which was nominated for a Grammy award in 2000 for Best Contemporary Blues Album, and “Electric Blue Watermelon”, which was released in 2005 and was a tribute to their late father, the legendary Memphis musician Jim Dickinson. The band has also collaborated with a number of renowned musicians, including John Medeski, Ry Cooder, and Robert Randolph. With their unique blend of blues, rock, and Southern soul, the North Mississippi Allstars have earned a devoted fanbase and continue to tour extensively throughout North America and Europe.
