Stockton Theatre Company Residency at the Stockton Performing Arts Center

Please join us as we mark the conclusion of Vasthy Mompoint‘s semester-long residency with the Stockton Theatre Program, and enjoy the exceptional work we have created with her this semester!

Theatre’s fall residency celebrates our semester long work with the celebrated Broadway/Hollywood creative, Vasthy Mompoint. The daughter of Haitian immigrants, Ms. Mompoint has appeared in 8 original Broadway casts: Good Vibrations, Hot Feet, Mary Poppins, Ghost, Soul Doctor, Rocky the Musical, and SpongeBob SquarePants, also appearing in the television special on Paramount+.She also appeared in The Prom on Broadway and recreated her role in the Netflix film.

Ms. Mompoint has twice received the honor of wearing The Legacy Robe (awarded to the cast member with the most Broadway ensemble credits), and LaDuca Shoes has created a limited-edition character shoe inspired by her: The Vasthy.

As a choreographer, Ms. Mompoint has choreographed such films as: Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Cursed Friends, and The Prom. As a voice actor, she plays the role of Layla on Winx Club and can be heard as the voice of Briny the Whale on Baby Shark’s Big Show! on Nickelodeon. As an entrepreneur, Vasthy runs and owns the children’s entertainment company: Vasthy & Friends, and recently released a children’s music album, Sing, Dance, Play, which can be heard on all music streaming platforms.
